They are also the UK’s leading timber harvesting and marketing company. Tilhill Forestry have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice to join their Finance Department. This is a full-time position based in their Stirling office, with a starting salary of £9,000 – £12,000 DoE.

As well as entering full-time employment, this exciting opportunity allows you to earn as you learn! The successful candidate will undertake the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians)Level 5 and 6 Certificates in Accountancy.
A YouTrain Apprenticeship combines work and classroom based learning with on the job training. Ideal for school and college students and leavers, Apprenticeships are quickly becoming the first choice career option for those looking to continue their education and, most importantly, gain vital work experience.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Team. You will support by providing clerical and admin support for various tasks and projects.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Using Microsoft Office packages – particularly Excel – and other in-house software systems
- Assisting with self-bill reconciliations
- Preparing and inputting financial journals
- Daily banking checks
- Running various reports to be fed back to Management
- Filing, photocopying and scanning
- Answering office phones, dealing with enquiries and taking messages
The role will not be restricted to the above duties. As your knowledge and skillset increases, you will be given further responsibility and have the chance to take on new challenges.
We are looking for applicants to be educated to a minimum of National 5 in both Maths and English. Any Accounting, Administration or Computing qualification would be an advantage.
Applicants should be keen to work within a busy office environment and be interested in developing a career in Accountancy/Finance.
Candidates must demonstrate a good work ethic and have a committed and determined attitude towards working and learning simultaneously.
