The Microsoft IT Apprenticeship Programme offers your employees the chance to gain the IT Professional Modern Apprenticeship and ALSO to gain MCP Certification (Microsoft Certified Professional) up to MCSA level. It combines learning at work with formal training and ongoing support over the course of the 12-15 month programme. YouTrain has been chosen as Microsoft’s delivery partner for the programme.

Who delivers it?
YouTrain, based Stirling, founded 1997 (initially part of Learning IT) and who are:
- Approved by SQA and E-Skills Sector Skills Council to deliver IT Apprenticeships
- A Microsoft Gold Partner and a Microsoft IT Academy
Format
6–10 weeks of training (dependent on experience), spread over the over the course of one year, held in our YouTrain Centre in Stirling.
Monthly workplace visits and regular meetings with line managers.
Training Cost
Skills Development Scotland funds the full cost of the training for 16-19 year olds so there is no training cost payable by the employer for that age group.
For participants who are over age 20, the Programme is subsidised by Skills Development Scotland but there is a contribution payable by the employer. The amount depends on the level ofthe learner’s prior experience but is certain to represent excellent value for this level of training.
