Get Certified

Come on YouTrains’ Microsoft IT Professional Apprenticeship programme and achieve Microsoft technical certifications (MCTS / MCITP) as part of the programme. The course is designed for people of ALL ages who are in IT technical roles, it is not just for young people.

Use your ILA

You can use your ILA towards the cost of any of YouTrains’ courses – for some courses it covers the full cost. For example: Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS Exams) 1 day course OR through supported e-learning. Includes £60 exam voucher: £200. With ILA: £0 More info or call us on 01786 460531

Funding for SME’S

Skills Development Scotland’s “Flexible Training Opportunities” scheme gives businesses with under 150 employees the opportunity to apply for up to £5,000 towards employee training costs. Funding is available for up to 10 employees per business and the money is a grant not a loan.

YouTrain for you

School Leavers
“Earn while you Learn” by doing a modern apprenticeship. YouTrain runs modern apprenticeship training programmes in IT and business administration, fully funded by Skills Development Scotland. You have to be in relevant job to do an apprenticeship of course – but we might be able to help you find a job too.
Unemployed?
If you’re unemployed and seeking IT Skills (either technical skills or non- technical skills) YouTrain should be able to help you with full funded training at no cost to you – for example, e-learning programmes, 1-day Office course, 5-day technical courses, or 6 week programmes.
Management skills and qualifications
YouTrain runs Management Vocational Programmes (leading to Management VQs or Professional Development Awards) at all levels from Team Leading at Level 2 (SCQF Level 5) to Management at Level 4. (SCQF Level 9). Accredited by CMI (Chartered Management Institute) and SQA.
MOD Leavers
YouTrain is a member of the Career Transition Partnership so if you are leaving the Armed Services soon you can use your resettlement training funds to do one of our 6 week IT programmes. Technical programmes to MCITP level or end-user programmes to Microsoft Office Specialist level.
Small Businesses
YouTrain works with businesses of all sizes, and if you are a smaller business, YouTrain can help you access assistance with costs of training, for example through Skills Development Scotland’s Flexible Training Opportunities Fund.
Larger Employers
YouTrain works with corporates, sometimes to help them further their corporate social responsibility aims by offering employment and training opportunities to young people. Call us for a discussion of how we might be able to help.

Case studies

The overall experience has been excellent. The delegates were well catered for. The equipment provided was more than enough for the training courses I attended, the trainers were technically experienced and approachable and the support staff were very helpful with any further queries I had. YouTrain sent a member of staff to my workplace to make sure I had everything I needed for the course. They provided remote access to their systems so I could continue my training away from the venue. This made the training process much more fluent.

I would happily recommend YouTrain. They have been providing Microsoft Technical Training to 6 of our IT Support staff and so far the feedback has been positive.
